The cosmetic is a great ally to help us look more beautiful and young, but sometimes little things escape us which in my humble opinion should know, being surrounded by things harmful to our health is our daily bread, but at least if which we are informed, we can choose whether to dodge or not.
Today I will discuss the basic ingredients in cosmetics and its effect, as well as the dangers of any of them if overused.
As in many other fields, we tend to abuse chemicals without really knowing they are composed and that affect our skin, hair and overall health, my mission with this post is to detail some of the most suspect ingredients, so leed and judge for yourself.
mineral oils are petroleum products and as such, blocking our skin react respiration of cells and clogging the pores, extract moisture from the skin, they drew to the surface and give the appearance of hydrated.
as cosmetic ingredients have multiple benefits for large companies engaged in this:
1) Its cost is low
2) mineral oils prevent the proliferation of bacteria
3) create a smooth finish and silky skin .
At stop using the substance, the skin can dry out more than usual, that's because the skin becomes addicted to this ingredient.
To find this ingredient in your product will have to look at the following terms:
Mineral oil / Paraffinum / Paraffinum liquidum / Petrolatum / Silicone quaternium / Methylsilanol / Ozokerite / Ceresin.
Dyes
some products is the main component (makeup, dyes ...), in other serves to look more appealing or simply more colors (cream, gel)
With the colors should be of pay attention to the particles "aniline" or "Anil", as the anilide Acet, which reveals a highly toxic dye, although the dyes are banned for a long time, it is worth knowing about them to recognize in the list of ingredients you can look like:
HC (HC Orange 3) / Acid (Acid Red 73) / Pigment (Pigment Green 7) / Solvent (Solvent Black 3)
(((All hide toxic substances)))
halogenorganicas Substance
These substances cause allergies, could be carcinogenic, and pollute the environment a lot because they are not biodegradable.
can find them by the following names:
Aluminium chlorohydrate / Methyldibromo glutaronitrile / Iodopropynyl.
PEGs: polyethylenglycol
emulsifiers are water and fat together or detergent and water, are completely harmless, but make the skin more receptive to substances, which is good, if it is healthy additives, but bad, if they are toxic .
controlled in natural products are not allowed more than 5 PEGs per item, but the conventional cosmetics often abuse them. I have described as "acceptable" products are rarely used and only at concentrations below 1% but this is so present in the products, which can be found for example in toothpaste even
can find this ingredient by the following names
Steareth / Ceteareth / Sodium laureth sulfate (the latter is the main ingredient in soaps, gels and shampoos, eye! Not be confused with "sodium lauryl sulfate" is a very irritating detergent that has come to cause pigmentation problems.
Generally
and to make clear, the PEG ingredients are recognized by the letters eth the end.
artificial fragrances
These fragrances are somewhat dangerous, because most of them contain items on skin, affect hormone balance and are "suspected" of causing cancer, whether in the form of perfume, deodorant or sweat inhibitors reach the skin, where sweat breaks down substances that accumulate in cells, to the point that analysis of breast milk, reaching record high levels of these carcinogens and suspected genetic cause damage. Acetyl Hexametyl

In principle, its use is banned in cosmetics, but its great effectiveness and low cost, have created substances that are not directly Formaldehyd , but it released, these substances are usually recognizable because it contains the word urea, as
The Diazolidinyl Urea Imidazolidinyl Urea
The
The polyoxymethylene urea

A study that analyzed tissue from 20 women with breast cancer, and all results were a high index of parabens, it seems that parabens can mimic the behavior of estrogen and promote tumor growth associated with levels of thyroid hormone, is curious how often breast tumors usually occur in the area where deodorant is applied.
